Most of the buttons on my car radio are set to country music stations. I also enjoy watching the television videos of the different Country Music Artists when I am just puttering around the house. Sometimes I go online to the countrymusicperformers.com website to look up the Country Music Lyrics to my favorite songs so I can sing along.
I was just reading the BBC news website and came across a story that is just almost too bizarre to believe! The story is about a man in his 40’s going nuts and stabbing a fellow passenger to death, apparently unprovoked. After stabbing him to death, he cut off his head!
When the attack started the screaming alerted the bus driver that something was wrong and he pulled over. All of the passengers, and the driver fled the bus when they realized what was happening.
The attacker has been taken into custody by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and they have not released his name. So far there is no news as to motive, they don’t think that the victim knew the attacker. They say that the victim was simply listening to music through headphones when the attack started. This is really bizarre news, and just the thought of something like this happening on a bus, where passengers expect to be safe is just very distressing!
Well, with the title of the post, that’s all anyone should care about, isn’t it!? What I’m talking about is Werever outdoor kitchen cabinets. These are made from a marine grade polymer that will not warp, rust, chip, crack, peel, or fade. They are backed by a lifetime warranty, and they are beautiful! They ship nationwide and offer a complete line of modular components in ten different colors, and six different styles. The cabinets install easily with ordinary hand tools. No special carpentry skills are needed. And, just as important, these are made in AMERICA! I was looking at their website; I LOVE the swim up bar they have as a featured photo!
I was just reading on the BBC.com website that the Beijing Olympic Village has opened to the Olympic athletes. The story was talking about how the buildings the athletes will be staying in are very “green” and modern. Then the story goes on a tangent about how the air quality in Beijing is very bad, and even though China has been trying to eliminate the pollution, it is at the worst level in recent months. That is going to be bad news for the competitors, it is hard to be performing at your best when the air you breathe in is poison!
Anyway, the entire topic reminded me of how this state that I live in is supposed to be such a clean and pristine state, but it has a horrible toxic rain problem because of the toxins pumped into the air from factories from other states that drift downwind into our state. I get aggravated over how the folks “upwind” have the “right” to pollute the air of those of us who live “downwind.” My aggravation grows when I am reminded of how the government has relaxed emissions standards to allow for more air pollution.
Although I think that shopping local is vital to do as much as possible, there are just some things that can’t be bought at the local combination Mom & Pop general merchandise and gasoline store combined with the Post Office. Where you live, you would probably equate that with your local 7-11. Since I live so far away from the resources of the great American shopping malls, I do a lot of my shopping and bargain hunting over the Internet.
There is a great website called 1-coupons.com that I like to check out when I’m in the mood to go shopping. They have discount codes, promotions, and coupons to dozens of online merchants. I like to check out the bargains at their merchants like Things Remembered, Red Envelope, and Bloomingdales when I’m gift shopping. I know that these merchants have their own websites, but in order to get these great offers, you sometimes need to go through the 1-coupons.com website. Once there you click on the merchant you are interested in (for example the URL for their Macy’s coupon site is http://www.1-coupons.com/coupons/macys.htm) and it will take you to the appropriate place where it will show you the offers for that merchant.
