Well, today was a total wash-out. It rained all day long, and the dog I’m pet-sitting didn’t seem to want to go outside at all, even to do his “duty.” I had to drag him outside using the leash and walk around with him until he did his thing. This is unusual; in good weather all I normally have to do is open the door to the fenced in yard and out he goes! He usually likes being outside quite a bit, running around the yard barking at the evil squirrels and the occasional deer that wanders by.
When it rains here, the mosquitoes are extra nasty. You would think that the rain would get them to settle down and hide under the leaves of the plants to stay dry, but no, the rain makes them even more aggressive and bloodthirsty! So I wasn’t too pleased about braving the mosquitoes while making the dog be outside! I hope tomorrow’s weather is nicer!
I recently found out that there are over thirty different Sugar Types! I thought there were only a few, brown sugar (light and dark), white sugar, confectioner’s (or powdered) sugar and raw sugar that I sometimes see on the grocery store shelves. While I was doing some research on environmental concerns I discovered that most of the sugar that we get here in the USA is from Brazil, and that Brazil is the world’s largest sugar producing nation. But what I found even MORE interesting was that much of the sugar that Brazil produces is used to make biofuel to be used to make gasoline!
One of the more discouraging and distressing things about living in this part of the state is that we hear about camp break-ins frequently. Most of the time, the break-ins involve a jimmied door or broken window. After the thieves gain access the thieves usually eats whatever food they can find and steal whatever they can carry. Usually these activities happen during the winter. So it was with quite a bit of surprise that I read that in the local paper that there were several camp vandalisms last week in a nearby town, where the camps were broken into and trashed. Two men have been arrested for the deed, which I was glad to read; usually these types of crimes are never solved.
Business Equipment Leasing is, in my opinion, often a really good business strategy. There are a lot of tax benefits to leasing equipment, and it frees up your business capital to invest in other vital projects, such as payroll!
At the end of the leasing period, the customer often has the opportunity to buy the equipment at a much reduced price, or they can choose to not buy the equipment and start leasing new equipment instead. I know some small business that have leased their equipment for the business, then at the end of the leasing period they would purchase the equipment (hugely discounted) and then give the equipment away to the families of the employees of the company. That is how a lot of the employees managed to get computers for their kids to use for school! In today’s world, computers are being refined and improved so quickly that it just doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense to outright BUY the computer. The original financial commitment takes so much out of the working capital of the business, and in a few years you want new ones anyway!
So, I’m a big fan of leasing business equipment. Small and medium size businesses in the medical, dental, and alternative healthcare industries would be well advised to seek out the services of First City Capital to lease their business equipment. First City Capital is a direct provider of equipment leasing & finance services for those industries.
They are America’s leading equipment finance and leasing company. They offer low rates and provide 100% financing with no closing fees. They will even refinance existing leases. Because they have such a small niche, they work really hard to keep their clients happy and they provide efficient, convenient, friendly, and cost-effective service for its clients.
I was reading on MSNBC News today that police found a 64 year old man passed out in his wheelchair in an off-ramp of a busy highway near Cairns Australia earlier this morning. He was nine miles from home! His breath test showed that he was six times the legal limit of intoxication, and was given a summons for driving under the influence! Can you imagine getting a ticket for drunk driving a wheelchair? The man claimed that he was on his way to visit a friend. I can’t imagine getting into a wheelchair (even if it IS motorized) and taking it for a nine mile drive! I guess that guy was REALLY drunk! I wonder if he’s ever done the nine mile trip sober?
