Without going to the trouble of researching my own blog (yeah, I’m being lazy) I’m pretty sure I’ve touted the benefits of backing up computer files! There are so many different ways to backup a computer system to prevent data loss; one of my favorite ways is an automatic backup system so I don’t have to try to remember to do anything!
There is a system called RAID that is an extra hard drive that is installed right inside your computer that protects your computer from data loss by backing up your files constantly. It provides data storage and it creates a mirror image of your hard drive, so if your hard drive crashes, you still have everything right at your fingertips. This is an ideal PC data protection system for small businesses and individuals who do not want to be bothered with backing up their data on disks or thumb drives, or external drives. (BTW - This post has been brought to you by the Accordance Systems company.)
I am not a big fan of artificially sweetened drinks, I like real sugar. Most artificial sweeteners have a weird aftertaste that really bothers me. But recently my doctor said he was concerned about my blood sugar level and wanted me to switch to artificial sweeteners as much as possible. Well, of course I resisted, most people do! But recently I went to visit a neighbor who offered me a taste of her Crystal Light drink. It was a lemonade flavor, and I really expected it to have a nasty aftertaste, but I was thirsty, and here was my chance to try it without having to spend the money myself! So I said, sure I’d love to try it. Well, much to my surprise, there was NO bad aftertaste! So I will be checking out the prices of that stuff in the grocery store on my next trip and maybe buying some of it to have at home!
My brother wants to order an epson tm-t88iv thermal point of sale printer for my parents business, which is plans to be running soon. He likes the features; Auto Status Back Messages and easy drop-in paper loading. It comes with a wide range of interfaces, includes wireless options and comes with USB on board.
Don’t you just hate it when you give out your email address to someone, hoping that they will use it with some commonsense and only contact you when they really NEED to communicate with you and then all you ever get from them is those stupid “chain” letter emails? I find that to be a constant problem, and I really hate having to send those people polite replies asking them to NOT do that! I like to think I am a nice person; I KNOW I’m a busy person, and I HATE getting those kinds of emails “forward this to 8 of your closest friends within five minutes or something bad will happen to you.” I DON’T forward it, I reply back to it and then delete it. I don’t know anyone who likes getting those kinds of emails, and it surprises me how many people are so superstitious that they are afraid to “break the chain” by deleting the email.
Joe was an average person, went to school like anyone else. He came from a poor family, his father ran off when he was a wee little one. His mother was an alcoholic, his father a womanizer. He had a hard life as a kid. So when he graduated high school he enlisted in the Marines with his best friend and shipped off to Vietnam, where he was wounded in battle.
The Marines shipped Joe back to the States where he recovered (25% disabled.) While he was recovering he met a man that told him that vinyl siding was “the gold of the future.” When he was well enough to work he bought a thousand squares of vinyl siding, rented an old building and picked out a fancy name and started his own vinyl siding business. He incorporated the little business and never looked back. That was in 1976 and now he is a multi-millionaire, a member of the Nouveau Riche. He’s bought a complete storage unit facility with 400 storage units where he rents storage for the siding business and runs the storage business on a daily basis. He rents to himself, what a way to make money! It’s perfectly legal, too!
