There are times when I think I should buy a couple of Lift Chair Recliners for my living room!  There are so many times that I go out over the weekend and overexert myself physically; then I am so sore the next couple of days that I can barely lift myself out of my chair!  I’d like to get a lift chair recliner that has massage and heat features on it and REALLY spoil myself!

Spring cleaning
Posted by Noel at 12:29 am in General Living, Home and Garden

I spent the weekend spring cleaning the house.  I cleaned everything I could reach inside the house, from floors to ceilings!  I put all the curtains in the dryer to get the dust off of them, washed all of the throw rugs, and washed all of the windows.  I pulled all of the furniture out from the walls and cleaned there, too.  I’m glad spring only comes once a year!  I’m exhausted and my muscles are sore!

My girl friend that lives in Freeport has told me that she has accepted a job offer in New York City.  She is going to have to move there in about two months.  She owns her home in Freeport and is not quite sure if she should sell it or rent it out.  I’ve suggested that she would be better off (in this real estate market) to rent it out; that way if the job in New York doesn’t work out she has a place back here in Maine that she can move back to!  Plus Freeport is a popular area, she shouldn’t have a difficult time finding tenants, and she could certainly use the rental income!

She is dreading the difficult search of looking at Apartments in New York near where she will be working.  She has started her apartment search through a company called Innovative Apartments.  She has been looking at Innovative Apartments‘ website at www.inapts.com.  She says that Innovative Apartments has a good selection of apartments to look at and that they do not charge a broker’s fee to help her find a good apartment.  That alone will save her a lot of money!  So she is planning on using Innovative Apartments to help her find her a good place to live.

I can remember reading a book as a young girl titled something like City mouse and country mouse.  Or maybe it was the other way around.  The gist of it was that a mouse used to the country went to visit a mouse that lived in the city and was overwhelmed by the experience and glad to get home again.  Well, I can empathise with the country mouse.  I am NOT a city girl!  I get anxiety attacks when I am in a crowd!  And cities are crowded!  I like the country!  Yup, I’m a country girl!  I have friends that live in cities, and they invite me to come visit them.  I DO go visit them and I have a good time, but I’m always glad to come home again!

For the past few years, I’ve been considering having Lasik surgery for my eyes.  One of my concerns has been the expense, my insurance won’t cover it!  But another concern has also been what kind of Lasik complications I might expect if I go through with it.  My sister told me to go the website www.USAEyes.org to see if I can find the answers to my questions there.

The USAEyes organization is a non-profit organization that does not accept advertising, and provides its services to patients for free.  It lists Lasik doctors who meet specific patient outcome requirements, and recommends steps to take to avoid problems.  It provides unbiased information about Lasik, and answers most questions you might have about Lasik.
