Happy Leap Day to all of you!

February 29, a day that only comes every four years.  I know a guy who married his wife on February 29 a few years back.  I told him that he must be a real cheapskate, trying to get out of giving his wife an anniversary dinner and gift every year!  He laughed and said that is EXACTLY why he did it!

Valentine’s Day

Well, for Valentine’s Day my honey gave me a HUGE heart shaped box of chocolates, a dozen red roses, a beautiful heart shaped gold locket necklace, a romantic greeting card, and took me out to supper at my favorite Chinese restaurant!  I could use a lot more days like that!

Valentine’s Day is a wonderful time to let that special someone in your life know how much you love them.  After all, Valentine’s Day is all about appreciation and romance!   In addition to celebrating Valentine’s Day with candy, flowers, jewelry and special dinners, dressing up in romantic costumes can help set the stage for romance later in the evening.  There are many sensual womens costumes for the ladies to pick out to please their man.  The sizes range from plus size costumes down to extra small, so it should be easy to find a costume that fits.

The men, not to be left out, can choose from the wide variety of mens costumes, from adventure heroes (like Zorro, my personal favorite!) to superheroes (like Batman) to romantic figures (like Prince Charming) to set the mood for an evening of unforgettable after-dinner intimacy.

Sad news today
Posted by Noel at 6:37 pm in Friends and Family, General Living

Today I heard that a dear friend of mine killed himself last weekend.  He got really drunk and went out on his snowmobile and parked it on the train tracks.  He knew what time the train was coming; he lived near the tracks.  He committed suicide by train.  He was an alcoholic that had been in and out of rehab for years.  I really had hoped that he would straighten his life out and quit drinking, but apparently that was not to be.

Superbowl commercials
Posted by Noel at 9:35 pm in Entertainment, General Living, Sports

When I watch the Superbowl, it is usually to see the great commercials.  This year, however, I was ill with a virus and spent most of the day sleeping.  Later, however, I did see the Budweiser commercial where Hank the horse had tried out for the team and didn’t make it, then went into training for a year with the Dalmatian coach, and then the next year made the team.  I absolutely loved it!  I think that Budweiser puts out the best commercials!
